You may be in isolation, not around friends, colleagues, family, or totally alone. If you are feeling alone, overwhelmed, sad, drained, broken, upset, anxious, stressed, angry, ho-hum or wanting to burst into tears, here are some strategies that can help you cope.
Firstly, have some self-compassion, take a step back, take time out and change your environment, carve yourself some slack, go for a walk, sit in nature, bask in the sun, phone a friend, get grounded – feeling the grass between your toes, splash your feet in the ocean, rest and recharge, try to get out of your head – by practising mindfulness, or take ten deep breaths, find a positive outlet or positive outlook. Be kind and gentle to you, seek the help of a professional if you need further guidance. You matter, we all matter, and you will get through this period of time in your one precious life.
